File Setup

Get your files print-ready

A little setup up front means your job prints exactly how you pictured it. Here's what we need — and if you're not sure, we'll handle it for you.

Preferred format

A print-ready PDF with fonts embedded is ideal. We also accept high-resolution JPG, PNG, TIFF, and native files from most Adobe and Microsoft programs.

Resolution

300 DPI at final size for anything you'll hold. Large-format banners and signs can be 100–150 DPI since they're viewed from a distance. Web images (72 DPI) usually won't print sharp.

Color mode

Build files in CMYK for the most accurate print color. RGB files will be converted and may shift slightly. Ask us about exact color / Pantone matching for brand work.

Bleed & margins

Add 1/8" (0.125") of bleed on any edge where color runs off the page, and keep important text 1/8" inside the trim. This prevents white slivers after cutting.

Fonts

Embed or outline your fonts so nothing reflows or substitutes. If you send a native file, include the font files or convert text to outlines/curves.

Large files

Anything too big to email? Send a Google Drive, Dropbox, or WeTransfer link when you order, drop by with a USB, or ask us for an upload link.

No print-ready file? No problem.

Our in-house designers can fix a file that isn't quite right, or build your piece from scratch — logos, layouts, invitations, and signs included.
